Xbox SmartGlass App Streams Video From Android and iDevices To Your TV

Microsoft is finally telling us what they have been keeping up their sleeve. No, they do not have anything in development for the next-generation console front but they do have a treat for us. Apparently, they want to create a technological surprise by using their existing Xbos 360 system through SmartGlass. They are quite economical if I do say so myself.

The new SmartGlass app allows any user to program their Xbox 360 to become the hub of home entertainment. The program allows Xbox 360 owners to wirelessly send (like the planned Wii U system) content to and fro between the Xbox 360 and tablet (or phone). Players can continue their games using the TV and look at their team stats using their mobile devices at the same time. Another amazing this about this system is when you are in the middle of watching a movie but need to leave; you can easily transfer what you are watching on your mobile device very easily. It also allows you to use your phone or tablet as a remote or trackpad for your Xbox 360. Who would have thought?

On the other hand, as amazing as it may sound, we still have to wait until the autumn of this year before we can get our hands on the new Xbox SmartGlass. There is also no news as to how much this would cost. We just have to keep our ears out, won’t we?
