Last year, gadget companies were announcing that 2012 is the year where new game consoles will be coming out—mostly as sequels to their predecessors. The first one is the PS Vita from Sony that has touch controls and then Wii U from Nintendo. Another company also announced that the new Xbox 720 will be coming out this year but no specs yet has been announced. But now, speculated specs have been revealed – yet there is a downside.

The new Xbox 720 will not be launched this year but rather on 2013 (around November) yet there are rumors of what its specs will be. First, it will use the 6000 series based AMD GPU chipset as its processor and will have six times the processing power than the Xbox 360. It also offers silicon circuitry that boosts its performance past Nintendos upcoming Wii by around 20 percent. Despite being a sequel to the Xbox 360, there are some who think that the 6000 series AMD chipset is not worthy or right for the new Xbox 720. But this is something that have yet to be seen in the next months.
Aside from the processor and speed above, the new Xbox 720 will have a graphics card of AMD Radeon HD 6670, a DirectX 11 support, 1080p HD output and supports 3D features. Despite having an “old” graphics card, Microsoft is saying that the processing power is what will make the Xbox 720 in demand next year.
So if you’re interested in this new gaming console, better watch out for news and updates on it in the next months. No word as well on the pricing.
