Popular LCD maker Viewsonic has graced the CES event with its latest tablet units – the ViewPad e70 and 10pi. With the current objective to provide personal mobility and premium entertainment, Viewsonic diversified its tablet line-up.
First off, the ViewPad e70 features a 7-inch touchscreen display, running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, powered by a 1GHz processor, 4GB memory, 1080p HDMI output, front-facing camera, microSD card support up to 32GB and Wifi for connectivity. The company flaunts the slate’s compact and lightweight feature that’s backed-up with pre-loaded apps for multimedia and entertainment purpose.
At a glance, you might find this tablet unappealing because of its average features. However, that can be justified once you see how much it costs. The ViewPad e70 is offered at a starting price of just $170 and will be shipped in late Q1. In tough economic times like we have today, some consumers may find this gizmo right on the money.
Next stop we have the ViewPad 10pi. A completely different type of slate – like night and day if you will. It has a 10.1-inch IPS panel, 1280 x 800 resolution, capacitive multi-touch with G-sensor, dual-OS feature allowing users to run both Windows 7 and Android Gingerbread and powered by an Intel Oak Trail Z670 processor. Other features include 2GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, 3.2 megapixel rear camera, 1.3megapixel front-facing camera, Wifi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 port, SD card slot up to 32 GB and pre-installed apps. It utilizes ViewScene UI that’s powered by Thinix Touch technology for seamless easy-to-touch, web browsing experience.
The ViewPad 10pi is branded as a business tablet which obviously caters to on-the-go professionals and also tech pundits with deep pockets. Why? Because it will retail for a whopping $849. If you’re interested to get one, the tablet will go on sale in North America before the end of this month.
