Swiss Army knife manufacturer Victorinox is prepping up to give us their own take when it comes to technology: a 1 terabyte eSATA II / III and USB 2.0 / 3.0 flash drive at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. This just proves that even a pocketknife company can come up with the most innovative of idea when it comes to giving us maximum storage capacity, fitted at the palm of our hands.

For sure some of us might say that having a 1 terabyte flash drive is long overdue; at one point, we might just be right in saying that. But a 1 terabyte with a built in monochrome LCD is just right device to unveil and the CES is just the perfect venue. Victorinox will be giving us two versions of its “SSD” flash drive: one in black and one in red – trademark colors of the company to say the least. And you’ll be surprised that alongside a 1 terabyte capacity, one version of the flash drive will have a pocketknife and a scissor. Talk about multitasking.
The built-in 96 x48 Bi-Stable LCD monitor will be capable of displaying the flash drive’s content and possibly a custom message. The pocket-sized drive also features up to 220 MB/s read,150 MB/s write speeds, 256-bit AES security encryption and will be available in 64, 128, 256 GB and 1TB storage capacities. But hold your pants, people; the Victorinox 1 terabyte flash drive will not come cheap. Reportedly, the new Victorinox SSD line-up will hover in the range of $400 – $3000 depending on the model. No exact launch date was mentioned.
