Taiwan-based Shuttle Inc.’s European subsidiary Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH has rolled out a three-liter, Sandy Bridge-enabled form factor known as XH61.

The latest mini PC has a height of seven centimeters and supports LGA1155 socket ideal for all Intel’s second-generation processors (i3, i5, i7). There’s a pair of memory banks, HDMI / VGA ports and four SATA 3Gbps slots. There is also enough space for an optical Slimline drive and a 2.5-inch HDD/ SSD as well as the 90-watt noiseless power supply. The slim-PC introduces the 32 nm-architecture that supports Intel H61 Express chipset along with the LGA1155 socket with a max. of 65W TDP, while the memory banks allows DDR3 modules at a max 16Gb capacity.
Other features include a Kensington Lock, a UEFI, 6x USB 2.0, Gigabit-LAN and 4x STAT 3 Gbit/s. The PCs compact case measures 24.2 x 20 x 7.3 cm DWH and its smooth HD playback and dual monitoring features are the combined efforts of the graphic function, HDMI and D-Sub ports. Optional accessories include PS01 pedestal for vertical operations and PV02 VESA monitor mount for retrofitting to various screens and surfaces.
The company considers it feasible balance between performance and internal space requirements. The Shuttle XH61 is ideal for those searching for inexpensive PCs that are smaller than the standard and common tower PC. The barebones PC has an initial price tag of $184 and can be further upgraded with your own choice of components.
