Just a few days before CES 2013 next week, Samsung breaks the silence with a video teaser online and photos revealed promoting its brand new smart TV platform that is also internet-connected portal called the Smart Hub HDTV. This time with its simplified interface and new shape.

The photos are showing a different layout from its previous releases that resembles that of Windows Media Center or Windows 8 with the tile-based menu.
This is heavily integrated with standard TV programming. To make it more organized, the content will be categorized into five sections having On TV (live TV), Movies and TV shows (shows on demand), Apps, Social, and Photos, Videos & Music.
The change is in the ease of navigating for better user experience with the presence of “Flipping” function in the menu. With its unique motion control system, you can flip through the screens or sections through hand gestures just like turning the pages of a book. Let’s wait for this flipping action to be demonstrated in CES as well.
Will Samsung win this year’s Smart TV Platform of the Year award with this 2013 Smart Hub?
When CES 2013 kicks off, details about the release schedule, price range and to where it will be commercially released will be revealed. Definitely, 2013 is a year of Smart HDTVs.
