Expectations seem to stay up for the Samsung Galaxy S IV as it gets closer to its release. Well one big factor would be the fact that its predecessor, Galaxy S III, has rocked the global smartphone market big time upon its launch. Sammy promotes the Galaxy S 4 as its newest flagship phone and thus only the best yet features are guaranteed in its thinner and lighter body as compared to its precursor.
Starting off with its screen, the company offers a relatively big Gorilla Glass 3-protected 5-inch Super AMOLED display at 1920 x 1080 441ppi resolution. The unit runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean along with either 1.9Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (for the U.S. market) or the Exynos 5 1.6GHz octa-core processor (outside Uncle Sam’s territory). It provides a 2GB of RAM with 16, 32 or 64 GB storage that is still expandable via the microSD card slot.
The smartphone can be well-used as an image snapper having a 13-megapixel quality at its rear and a 2-megapixel at its front. Further, the two cameras can function simultaneously through its Dual Camera feature. It also features a number of different shooting modes for different kinds of shots as Drama Shot for creating cinemagraph-like photos.
The Galaxy S4 has more gesture and haptic features taken from its Galaxy Note line like the Air Gestures that allow users direct the phone without having to touch the screen. It also have the basic wireless links such as Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS and the IR port that can turn the device into a remote control using Samsung’s WatchON service.
What sets it apart from the Galaxy S III is the accessories (will be sold separately) that was unveiled on its launch. It includes the “S Band”, which helps health-conscious individuals to monitor their daily workout activities; “S View Cover”, a smart flip cover accessory that protects your handset; “Game Pad”, a wireless game pad controller with dual analog sticks, shoulder keys and 4 action buttons; “Wireless Charging Pad/Cover”, which charges your GS4 handset via induction sans the wires; And the “Protective Cover+”, provides more rugged protection to your handset.
The Samsung Galaxy S IV will be available in Black or White colors but price tag is still concealed at the moment. Stay tuned.
