Rumors have abounded for months about how Verizon would soon be offering a high end Nokia handset to its clientele. Now a leaked image strongly suggests that those rumors are about to come true. The image in contention is a screenshot that’s believed to be taken from Verizon’s internal product listing and shows an entry for a Nokia Lumia 928. The date entered with the product coincides with the time rumors about a new Lumia on Verizon began.

There’s very little information that can be gathered from the screenshot, but people who have been following Nokia are confident that the Lumia 928 is the handset that’s said to be similar to the Lumia 920. Some insiders have even been bold enough to state that the Lumia 928 will also have the 4.5-inch, 720p display screen, the 4G features and the 2000mAh battery. The device is said to also be powered by a Snapdragon S4 1.5Ghz processor, will have 1GB of RAM and a storage of 32GB.
At the moment, Verizon customers have very limited choices when it comes to Windows Phone devices. The inclusion of the Lumia 928 in the company of the Lumia 822, Samsung’s ATIV Odyssey and the Windows Phone 8X by HTC will give their clients another powerful option. Unfortunately, there’s no concrete date scheduled for the roll-out of the Lumia 928 but it shouldn’t be long now.
