Motorola teased us with a captivating video pertaining to its upcoming event next week. With 4 keywords, “faster”, “thinner”, “smarter” and “stronger” to sum up the clip; we can’t help but guess what device could Moto be brewing with Big Red?
The folks at Engadget named it, Motorola Spyder, after checking the label on the invite. Looking closely at the device, one may notice that it has close resemblance with the previously leaked Droid HD RAZR (noticed the image of a razor blade at 0:14 of the clip?). The latter would be a good guess for Moto’s next flagship handset. For now, let’s forget about it and focus on the juicy innards this phone could offer.
Rumor has it that the new Motorola handset would sport 4G LTE features (a perfect fit for Verizon’s high-speed network), 4.3-inch Super AMOLED panel (with tough gorilla glass panel, allegedly), 960 x 540 qHD resolution, dual core 1.2 GHz processor (boosted to 1.5GHz) and sturdy Kevlar coating at its back.
One may notice that these specs are at par with another elusive handset, the Nexus Prime. The latter reportedly sports either a 1.5GHz Samsung Exynos or 1.2 GHz TI OMAP processor, 8 megapixel shooter and HD front-facing camera.
We can’t make any conclusion until we see these 2 smartphones for real. One by one, we’ll get them all! For now, stay tuned for the upcoming Motorola-Verizon event.
