Lenovo, a computer manufacturer mainly based in China is set to release their new models of ThinkPad Edge laptops this coming summer and first on the list is the ThinkPad Edge S430. This laptop is announced to have the Ivy Bridge and the Intel’s Thuderbolt technology. The Ivy Bridge is a core processor from Intel which has been recently used by Apple.

The S430 is a successor to Lenovo’s ThinkPad Edge E420 which was originally released in 2011. There are similarities between these two models such as the soft touch desk, the chrome cover and the red light in the “i” of the ThinkPad emblem. But they differ in size and weight because the ThinkPad Edge E430 weighs about 4 pounds and is 0.86 inches thick as compared to the E420’s 4.4 pounds and 1.2 inches thickness.
The Windows laptop’s color scheme is a shade of brown while the keyboard remains as island-style. The specs include a non-reflective display with 1600×900 HD resolution, a local storage of up to 500 GB, a 2 GB graphics memory and a 720p webcam on top.
The Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430 is to be released this June 2012 at a starting retail price of $749. While waiting for this model to be out in the market, you may check out the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge S430.
