The launch date of the iPad 3 may happen this March 7, with the Apple invites already out to the lucky guests of the event. Actually, there are no clear indication if Apple will launch the latest iPad slate, but still all indications points to the release of the device.

While awaiting for the date of the launch, another leak or report has made the rumor mills working. This time, the report is about a new OS for Apple products, called the iOS 6. The report came from ARS Technica, which the website found while sorting with their log reports. The log report showed that there are Apple devices that run using iOS 6 which accessed their website.
Since Apple has not made any announcement on this matter, and considering that the latest iOS version is expected to be iOS 5.1, some believe that the incident was part of a testing activity by Apple employees. It is a fact that Apple must test their latest products in the real world before actually releasing the same to consumers.
Another discovery found in the logs was that there were devices that register a 2048×1536 retina display, which accessed the website. The retina display is the rumored resolution of the iPad 3. The obvious conclusion is that some Apply employees may again be testing the iPad 3 before the expected launch release on March 7.
Apple obviously made no comments on these reports. There are also no clear indications that the log reports came from iPad 3 devices. Hence, we still have to wait for the day when Apple finally shows what is indicated on their invites.
