It was during the Taste of Chicago event when Huawei introduced a number of its new phones for all the world to see. There were a pair of myTouch phones and the Huawei Ascend Q (M660) which will be the highlight of our article today.

Apparently, the new Huawei handset will have a QWERTY keyboard with a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display. Some commented that they did not see the phone as high-end since it only has an Android 2.3.6, an 800 MHZ CPU, 1,500 mAh battery, a microSD storage slot and the all too familiar 3 MP rear camera which unfortunately does not come with a LED flash. The device will also include Cricket’s usual MuveMusic for all you music fanatics out there.
Even with the lack of amazing features on the phone, critics say that the Ascend Q still runs quite smoothly and surprisingly easy to use. If you would like to get your hands on one of these, the phone will be launched in the US in August through Cricket. Apparently, the company would like to release in to the market as a prepaid device. It will be expected that the phone will be sold at a realistic cost when it does come out.
