Evernote gets a big update this week for its Mac version including two new major features. The popular software that allows you to sync your devices, save favorite webpages, and share and collaborate with friends and colleagues, now has a new feature called Activity Stream plus support for retina display on its 3.2 update.

First off, the new Activity Stream brings a new icon in the image of a satellite dish which, when clicked on, shows you the recent activities made in your devices as well as other devices which you have access to. Activity Stream updates you on who have just joined your shared notebooks including their usernames or email addresses, which notes that have been added, deleted, or edited, and keeps a record of which of your notes are the ones you share. However, it only shows the recent activities that occurred since the last time you synced so if you have a note which you have updated twice since the last sync, only the most recent will reflect on Activity Stream.
Evernote also upgraded every image and icon found on the software to support the retina display of the new MacBook Pro Retina and other future MacBooks with the said display. And of course there are the usual bug fixes and improvements that you’d expect from an update.
So far, Evernote for Mac 3.2 is only available on Evernote’s website while its appearance on the Mac App Store still awaits Apple’s go signal.
