0

Who would have thought that our usual everyday light bulb will get a new role? Well, apparently, a group of geniuses has added Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity to the bulb and voila! We can now expect the Bluetooth Bulb in the near future.

The new technology allows users to pair their smartphones with their lights at home. With this, users will be able to turn their lights on and off through the application. Another feature of the Bluetooth Bulb is that users will be able to change the brightness of their lights, and set the timer. To top that off, there is also a special RGB bulb which allows users to change the color of the ambience of a room.

Interested buyers need not worry of sustainability of the product since it has been deemed as easily replaceable. All you need is the bulb and your phone and you are good to go.

If you are already excited, you might want to take note that as of now, there is only a patented prototype. The developers are eyeing to mass produce but we cannot really tell as to when this will happen. For now, we can just imagine how convenient life would be with the Bluetooth Bulb. See video below.
