The personal computer has become an essential tool of modern life and we need it to do a million and one tasks. Luckily for us, changes in technology have allowed some of these tasks, like storing data, to be shifted to the Internet. This has resulted in the emergence of cheap, single board mini computers like the APC since we don’t need to invest in high powered CPU’s or expensive software.

One of the most eagerly awaited mini-computers is the Via Avatar APC 8750. It runs on a Gingerbread OS so you can play movies, listen to music and run other Android apps like you would on a tablet. It also has 800 Mhz ARM v6 CPU, a 2GB NAND storage, 720p video streaming via HDMI, a 3Dgraphics engine and a VGA port that lets you connect it to any kind of monitor.

Due to its low price and amazing features, it’s not surprising that the Via Avatar APC 8750 is eagerly awaited. It went on sale on August 14 and retailed for $60. But like the pre-order sale that happened last June, all units were sold out in a few hours and it’s currently out of stock. If you really want to get your hands on the APC 8750, then head on over Newegg and register for early notification.
